The STAR SEAL
an Element
Connection that Works

The STAR SEAL ensures trouble free, effective sealing using a patented wet seal arrangement with high tolerance machined surfaces. The positive seal between the STAR FILTER element and the suction manifold eliminates contamination by-pass, common in other designs.

Double layer weave synthetic media, wedgewire or Precoated Microscreen panels provide filtration as low as one micron and eliminate the difficult handling and disposal of bulky roll media.

A heavy duty conveyor dragout system that can operate continuously or can be set to index removes the solids from the filter.

Ensures that there is no migration of dirty fluid (leaking past seal due to misalignment of the module, as in the case with O-ring connections).

A permanent filter septum and unlike drums or tubes, the panels of Fuse Bonded Microscreen can be cleaned on both sides, eliminating the costly replacement of filter septums.

Element

Isolated with manual butterfly valves can easily be removed without draining the fluid from the system or laborious disassembly of pressure vessels.

Positive Cake
Removal

Clean fluid “backflow” eliminates the need for large volumes of air (used in Pressure Filters) or Doctor Blades (used in Drum Filters). Doctor Blades can force solids through and into the clean stream and also lodge dirt into the screen reducing the open area for filtration.
